stress testing
The Nuclear Medicine Department offers cardiac exercise and chemical stress testing as diagnostic procedures for patients with heart disease. The Department offers state-of-the-art cardiac imaging and the latest in diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients. The Department, performing over 3,500 procedures each year, is a member of the American College of Radiology. All nuclear medicine technologists are certified in Nuclear Medicine Technology and the radiologists are board certified.
When you come to the Nuclear Medicine Department, please bring insurance information as well as your physician referral. There are some diagnostic procedures that require the Registered Nurse to interview you prior to the procedure. You will be notified of this when the appointment is made. You will also be given instructions about what to eat before the test and instructions for taking your current medication, when the appointment is made.
The Nuclear Medicine Department is open from 7am to 5pm. These procedures are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies. Nuclear Medicine services are available in the Radiology Department located on the first floor of the hospital. If you have insurance coverage questions, please call 845-368-5022.
