Post-Acute Care Compare

Nursing home compare, home health compare and long-term care hospital compare is part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicare Services (CMS) quality initiative. This quality initiative uses a variety of tools to help post-acute care facility improve the quality of care they deliver. This initiative helps patients and families make more informed decisions about where to get their health care.

Nursing Home Compare has detailed information about every Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing home in the country.

Home Health Compare has information about the quality of care provided by "Medicare-certified" home health agencies throughout the nation. “Medicare-certified” means the home health agency is approved by Medicare and meets certain federal health and safety requirements.

Long-term Care Hospital Compare reports information on over 420 hospitals across the nation and allows patients, family members, and health care providers to get a snapshot of the quality of care in each hospital.
